In 1897 C.C. Filson launched his Pioneer Alaska Clothing and Blanket Manufacturer in Seattle. His experience outfitting Pacific Northwest Settlers provided him with an ideal position from which to capitalise on the thousands of fortune hunters passing through with the Great Klondike Gold Rush. Although the rush faded, Filson’s reputation for tough yet comfortable outdoor clothing did not, setting the gold standard for miners, explorers, anglers and anyone with a passion for the outdoors. Today Filson remains known for its high quality and durable products made from heavyweight fabrics like Tin Cloth and Mackinaw wool used in the accessories CCW offer.
